For all those who are fans of my AMV Hell fan based videos "The Azumanga Daioh Lost Episodes", this is a special feature fourm of things that you may or may not have known about the Lost Episodes that I made! In this journal I've typed out, I will gladly explain all the clips I made and why I made them, Deleted clips that didn't make it into the videos, and I guess some other stuff that might be apeeling too you. Azumanga Daioh Lost Episode 1:

Opening - Originaly when I made the first Lost Episode fpr AMV.org, I used the song "Alice's Restaurant by Arlo Guthrie" as a way to start the video of, it was kind of a Azumanga way too; and I of course had Kimura randomly pop out of nowhere as a way to ruin the mood that the girls were in and then start the video. I got rid of the idea after looking at it a couple of times and I started to realize it wasen't very funny to me, so then I had to come up with a new idea of starting off the video. I was exploring my computer for song files that might work and I came across a file of songs my Mother listens to, and one song I found called "Feels like Home", I figured it sounded very sentemental and might be a good way to start the video off, so I went with that. Then I used a clip of Kagura doing a Falcon Punch and I figured that I could use that as a mood spoiler to start the movie with. I think I was going to use quotes from "Austin Powers" to go along with Kagura's Punch, but I couldn't find any, so instead I went with the original Japanese autio, I guess it worked out sorta. And then "Hit that by Offspring" is just to show everyone that this is a wild and crazy AMV with no sentemental BullSh*t in it whatsoever.

Break Stuff by Limp Bizkit - Nothing special when I made this clip, just thought it might be a good way to start out the AMV, and I think it was

In the Hall of the Mountain King - Everybody loves the knife scene in that episode of Azumanga Daioh, so I wanted to come up with an idea for what to use with it. I was going through some old songs and stuff to find something that seemed right, and I came across this song which I thought would fit the mood of the scene perfectly, and it did!

Promiscuous by Nelly Furtado - This was not the idea of Sakaki being a whore, I got this idea when I watched "Epic Movie", one scene when they show the parody of X-Man 3, the blue girl that can change shape (Forget her name) they play that song, and she kind of acts all sexy and stuff, this may have been a dumb idea at the time but I wanted to mimick that idea into on of my AMVs, so I randomly put it up with Sakaki, nothing against her just wanted to do something simaler to that one thing

Eye of the Tiger by Surviver - I've wanted to do a Kagura Montage for a while, and I got the idea from the song played in the Rocky movies, so a couple of effects and shots of Kagura working hard at being the best and it's ready to go!

SpongeBob Squarepants That's What Friends Do - If you didn't already know, I am a Super-Mega SpongeBob fan! And as one I had to have at least one video clip of SpongeBob in my video, so I went to my collection of Spongey stuff to find something I could use. I later found a song from the episode "Wormy" that was short and had something from Azumanga that I could use, so I went with Yukari and Nyamo as friends (Even though they aren't).

Dragonball Z 9000!! NINE THOUSAAAAANDD! - This video by Kajetokun is one of the highest viewed videos on YouTube, and since I'm a DBZ fan I wanted the idea of making my own version of that video. It didn't turn out as great as I thought it would be, but that was because I was in a rush to get it out that I didn't think enough to put it into good use, but I'm plaining to do a better version later in the future.

Shout by Tears for Fears - Now this was actually one of those running gags that most shows and other stuff have. I was plaining to do a different running gag for each Lost Episode I did, but because that the episodes I made were only six minutes long (eight if you inclued the credits) I thought that running gags wouldn't last very long, so I instead went for the idea of putting my running gag into each episode, so this gag was basiclly Kimura shouting, but each with a different song. I had plained out to use the Shout by Tears for Fears, and the other versions of that song by Disturbed and "Weird Al" Yankovic. This gag is now slip up into on clip in each of the Episodes I have made now.

My Baby's in Love with Eddie Vedder - As I might have said before, the running gag I put in would have a "Weird Al" song in it, and as you may know I'm a big fan of Weird Al and I had to have at least one video with a song by him. But since I had to split the gag up into different episodes, I had to find another song I could use in my video with Al. I went through all the albums I own, and came across this song which I thought would actually be a good idea because I almost forgot that I needed a Kaorin clip of her and her love for Sakaki, so that is that clip

Move Along by The All-American Rejects - Most of you are probably wondering why I put this in. Well I needed a good sounding song that I could use to end the video with, and this one was so good that it could work out as a clip for the video, and ending credits. I was going to split it so it fit the video, but there was no good place to split it, so I had to just use as much of the song as I could. And the reason that one part in clear, and the other is tiny was because there aren't enough songs and things in there to make a full credits, so I had to make the first part an AMV clip, and the rest was all made to fit the credits which I thought was actually good.

Deleted Scenes:

Don't Forget my Number by Milli Vanilli - Just didn't work out very well, and my Lip Sync. back then wasen't very good ethier

Sauerkraut Polka - I guess it wasen't good enough to make a clip out of, no scenes in the show that could match up very well

Dane Cook Autio - I had an idea of using the "Dane Cook Burger King" thing, but I didn't have a clue on any scenes I could use it in.

Other stuff:

Easter Egg - that ending "WHAT!? NINE THOUSAND!!?", nothing special, I guess a little continuation of that last clip


Azumanga Daioh: The Lost Episode 2:

Opening - The opening to my Second Lost Episodes was a LOT different. It was to open up the same way "Monty Pyton and the Holy Grail" did, but I could import the movie into my computer, And it was a lot more tougher to find the footage somewhere else, so I gave up and desided to use a different way to open the video. Another user on YouTube made an Azumanga AMV Hell video as well, and one of the songs he used was called "The Gonk". It was a funny sounding song and I thought that maybe I could use that in the opening of my 2nd Episode, so that's where that came from. The song in the intro was purly another sentemental way to start the movie just before it's mood spoiler.

Mortal Combat Theme - This was originaly going to be with footage of "Azumanga Fighters" which is a fighting game simaler to Super Smash Bros. that had all Azumanga characters. It was my main choice to start the video off, but the problem was that I couldn't find and videos of the game to use. I thought of giving it up but because it was a cool way to start the video off, I desided to keep the song but instead use clips of the actual show which seemed to have worked out anyways.

Mario Twins by Group X - Now this is also an idea that didn't work out the same way. I was plaining to use clips from the show that were related to the old NES Super Mario Bros. game. Unforchanetly I couldn't find anything that might have worked out with the song, and this clip was about to become a deleted scene but I kept it because I had an idea for what I could do instead with it. I went for the idea of doing it as if the actual makers of the song were singing it. I went with the same idea I did for "My Best AMV.......EVER!!!" were I had Chiyo-chan do the song notes, and Osaka randomly popping in and out of the video doing the sound effects. I also plained on making the fireworks at the end, but I didn't have that effect in my movie maker program.

Stupid Girls by Pink - Nothing much to say about this clip, just that it is a good sounding song and it works out with the two dumbist characters on the show.

A Whole New World from Aladdin - As always I needed a Kaorin clip in my video, and this time I wanted to use a song that was different from other Kaorin AMVs. I thought about using an old Disney song cause those are always good to use! I came up with Three different some I could use: Kiss the Girl from The Little Mermaid, A Whole New World from Aladdin and Once apon a Dream from Sleeping Beauty. I figured that The Mermaid one was a bit to much cause you never hear Kaorin ever actually say if she Loved her that much (I figured she would) so I didn't want to push it that far. Sleeping Beauty was too long and could fit it in to the video. So it was Aladdin I picked; I was able to fit into the video, and it works with Kaorin in plenty of ways.

Riot by 3 Days Grace - Nothing in puticular, I just needed a heavy song to get people back into the mood of the video, after that Aladdin vid, we need something to get you back to the mode of distruction, and the song works out pretty weill with the footage since it looks like a real Riot breaking out!

Family Guy Quote - I never was going to put this into my Lost Episode because I already put it as an Easter egg in my AMV "Pretty Fly for a Ninja", but it was because I had no other Family Guy quotes at the time that I could use to put into my video, and I do try to have at least one Family Guy clip in my videos.

In the End by Linkin Park - I am not a fan of Linkin Park, but I choise to use this song because I saw a clip in "AMV Hell 4" with this song, and I thought that it would be funny to do. Just like the lyrics say: "In the End, It dosen't even matter" and I figured that I could just use anything and it wouldn't matter! I came up with idea of using Chiyo's Pigtails out of nowhere, that her pigtails would be playing the song, I just thought it would be funny to do, and I stand by what I did.

Shout 2000 by Disturbed - Just like I said before, this is the running gag that I am continuing from my last Episode. I thought of making a different gag for each episode I made, but since the episodes aren't very long I desided to just do my running gag on each episode I did. So the is the 2nd part of my "Kimura Shout" running gag.

Pretty Fly by Offspring - I am also a fan of Offspring (I made a coulpe of clips with their songs) and I wanted to put another song by them in my next video, so I did my favorite one. I figured that it would work out with Kimura since he is a Pretty Fly white Guy.

Where's Your Head At by Basement Jaxx - After watching the Music video for this song, I wanted to do something simaler to it, but since there isn't anything as twisted as that on the show, I went for a simple idea of a character's stupidity. So I went with Osaka's brainless abilities as a supporting clip for the song.

Pop That Coochie by 2 Live Crew - Now this would have to be my most favorite clip in the Lost Episodes 2. I love this song, it's so awesome sounding and I needed to use it in an AMV. I desided to use in in my Lost Episode, and I found the perfect scene to do it with, the part with Yukari when she ways her butt in the air I thought it was sooo funny that I could use that in my video clip! I'm thinking of turning it into a GIF and then putting it on ytmnd.com just for laughs!

Why Can't I by Liz Phair - I needed a clip that I could use to end the episode, but the only one I had was the continuation of the Mortal Combat theme song. I was on my computer looking for a song I could use to fill in the gap I had, and I found a file of song by Liz Phar that my Dad had. I listened to a couple of somes and thought tht they were pretty good, but one song I heard was the perfect one I could use. It was a way to show Sakaki and Maya since I forgot to make something with those two, it all worked out in the end.

DragonBall Z quotes - just before I put together the video, I saw a new video that was made by Kajetokun (The guy who made "NINE THOUSAAAAANDD!") It was called "Real Brother Relationship" which was a Megaman video, but one quote in the video was actually from the episode of DBZ which was also used in "I Hope My Body Can Take It". Goku said "Don't mind me, feel free to lead off anytime" and I thought that would be funny in Azumanga. So I went back to find a clip to use that with, and I came up with Osaka starring at Sakaki's boobs, and Tomo pops up to then say something about them as well. It all worked out perfectlly, except for the sound beening too quiet, I hope to fix that.

Mortal Combat pt. 2 - I had the idea of continuing the Mortal Combat theme into the end of the video only because it makes a good opening and ending. But I desided to just use still images instead of actual video diolog. Some are the same from the opening, but there two extra pics I added in the be funny. I used a image from a Doujin, It was basecily Naruto But if you read the image you'd know that the joke was actually from Azumanga Daioh. And The Power Rangers Look-a-like pic is from another anime, but I can't tell cause it's a secret.

Credits - The credits I wanted to do one their own this time and no extra add on's. I am a fan of Smash Mouth and wanted to use a song by him in my video, so I looked for a good song to use, and I came across the song "Getting Better" which is originally by The Beatles (Which I'm a fan of as well) so I went for this one since it's good sounding and has an Azumanga based theme to it.

Deleted Scenes:

Buddy by Adam Sandler - I had an idea of making this clip, but it was to complicated to understand so I never did go along with it

Vally Girl by Frank Zappa - Seemed like a good idea at first, but never turned out great in the end

Running Gag, Chiyo & Osaka Standing - my original running gag for episode 2, but because of the shout gag I had to take it out, but maybe next time I'll use it.

Extra stuff:

Easter egg - I am a fan of Bloodhound Gang and wanted to use at least one song in my video, but because that my videos are to be PG-13 rated I can't have any kind of foul humor in my stuff. But since I really wanted to use it, I desided to make it an easter egg at the end of the video.


Azumanga Daioh: The Lost Episodes 3

Opening - I think the opening as probably going to be with Smash Mouth instead of Andrew W.K. but I switched it when I heard "Ready to Die" and I thought that it was a good sounding song to start the video with. The opening scene of Osaka and the knife was another tribute to that scene just like my last clip with "In the Hall of the Mountain King". I heard the song Kinfe Fight by Lemon Demon, and I thought that I should put that into one of my videos, but I never did think about it becoming the opening of the video.

Feel Good Inc. by Gorillaz - I think this idea was originally going to be the Weird Al Polka version of this song, but since my running gag was already a Weird Al song, I desided to use the original version by Gorillaz.

Down the Well by SpongeBob Squarepants - Yap! Another Spongy clip to use in my video! I was watching SpongeBob episodes to find a good idea for a clip to use, and when I watched "Wishing you Well" I got an idea for a video with the song that SpongeBob sang in the episode. I used it with the well thing in the second last episode of Azumanga. There are two parts to this song, but since I didn't have a lot of room in the video I had to cut it out, but it wasen't fully made to work anyways so I'm gald but also sad to have taken it out.

S.O.S. by Rihanna - I do need another Kaorin moment in my video, let's just say that there are more then one in the Lost Episodes 3. This one came to me when I first listened to the song by Rihanna. I got the idea of making a Kaorin clips of her from her dream sequence of her getting rescuded by Sakaki. I ment to make it more jumpier, but I could on the program I use, so I did as good as I could to make it all exciting, I did add in the bold letters as part of my idea.

Why Don't You Get A Job by Offspring - Another Offspring song that I liked so much I had to put it in no matter what. I guess Yomi and Tomo work it out very well with there problems in life, especually Tomo always asking Yomi for favors.

South Park quotes - I had an idea of using some South Park in my vids, but I could never find a joke that was aproprate for Azumanga. I did come across the episode "Canada on Strike" and the whole "Buddy/Friend/Guy" thing made me laugh so hard, milk would come out my nose. Since the Knuckleheads Osaka, Tomo and Kagura are a little bit like those charactes, they made the perfect casting in my clip!

The Sweet Escape by Gwen Stefani - I had the idea of making an AMV with Gwen Stefani's "What you Waiting For" with Azumanga Daioh, but I couldn't find what I needed to make the video, so I gave up and did something with Weird Al. I did however want to put something by Gwen in my AMVs, so I did this song. I did find a good scene to use it with so I'm glad I could do so.

Family Guy Quotes - Nothing special, I did find some more Family Guy stuff to use so I started out by using this which I though was hilaroius!

We Hate it When our Friends Become Successful by Reel Big Fish - A user friend of mine of YouTube made an AMV with this song and Azumanga Daioh. I wanted to do something with that as well so I toke the main part of the song which was the laughing and put it up with Tomo clips of her laughing.

"Weird Al" Polka Party - This is the final part of the running gag "Kimura Shout", and like I said, all three parts of the gag were going to be in Episode 1, but were spread apart because the episodes weren't very long and wouldn't be very filling in the movie.

Heut' Ist Mein Tag by Blumchen - As you may have seen, the whole gag that's all over the internet. The "OMG Hitler" thing I wanted a chance to make something simaler to that, so I went through the Azumanga episodes to find something that went with it, and there you have it! Yukari is a Nazi!

Little Girls by Oingo Boingo - I've been dying to make this clip for a while now. I've wanted to do some kind of Kimura joke that was more related to his kind of personality, and I think this about covers it.

Burnin' For You by Blue Oyster Cult - I am a fan of BOC, and I wanted to use a song by them in my videos, so I used this one because I figured it would be funny, especually the way I made it it does.

I'm a Beliver by Smash Mouth - I did want to put another Smash Mouth song in my video, and since I didn't get to use "Come On, Come on" in the opening credits, I went for the idea of making a clip with another song. This is the second Kaorin clip I've made in the video, cause you can never have enough Kaorin and Sakaki stuff.

Maxwell's Silver Hammer by The Beatles - This I think was going to be in the next Lost Episodes I make, but I made it early cause I had some space were my other deleted clips were going to be, and I needed to end this in some sort of way. This is another one of my Osaka knife things, but I figured it was going to come out at some point so I might as well have put it in while I had the chance.

My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion - This idea I had thought up a long time ago. I watch a funny video with this song and footage of Super Buu singing it. I thought it was so funny that maybe I could do something like that, so I made a Kaorin version of it with the scene of her dancing with her love Sakaki. That would make this my 3rd Kaorin clip in this episode. This episode is just full of loving Kaorin and Sakaki moments!

Credits - The song in the credits was going to be longer, but I filled up so much space in the video that I had to cut the song in the credits shorter so I could move the credits along faster and get the video finished.

Deleted Scenes:

Magic is Missing by SpongeBob Squarepants - I was going to put this in along with a clip from DBZ, but I didn't have enough room left, and on top of that I don't think I could have found the scenes I needed to make this clip anyways.

Dragonball Z - For those of you who've seen "The Balls are Inert" made by Kajetokun, I was plaining to make my own version. But let's just say I didn't really have an idea of how to make the clip, plus no room anyways

Don't Cha by Pussy Cat Dolls - Good idea at first, but after making it I realized it wasen't funny enough.

Widescreen Movie by Cavin3 - I made a voice recording of myself an made up a really rediculious song that I could put into my video, but I didn't because the music I was using was "Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top, and I felt that using someone elses music would be copyrighting, and I could get in trouble for that so I desided not to put it in. (To bad to cause it was a funny sounding song)

Extra Stuff:

Easter egg - The easter egg I put in this video is not Azumanga Daioh. It's "Best Student Council" which is simaler to Azumanga Daioh, even the main character is voiced by the voice of Osaka, and she's as brainless as her too! I wanted the idea of making AMVs with a new show, and I started off by making an easter egg for my 3rd Lost Episode. I figured I could use something different at the end of the video, I think I was going to use Lucky Star but I couldn't find any computer and TV scenes that would work. The autio is actually "Why Don't You Get A Job" by Offspring, I felt that the ending of the song would apply to the ending of my video, just a little anyways.


So there you have it, now you know more about the Lost Episodes of Azumanga Daioh then ever before. I do have plan to make a Lost Episodes IV, but that wont be for a while, so DON'T ASK!!!!!!
